Art Director, Design Studio 2021–2023

Three distinct companies—with three distinct identities, visual languages, and cultures—had just merged. My job was to build one cohesive brand from the ground up, on a timeline.

The result was a comprehensive brand system spanning logo, color, typography, illustration, photography, motion, social media, and accessibility standards. I directed the brand guidelines, established design systems governing the Care, Marketing/Social, and Commerce product lines, and produced the creative that took Emplifi to market.

Beyond brand, I managed creative production for demand generation, product launches, events, and executive communications—and implemented an internal agency-style creative project management system and DAM that reduced administrative and distribution costs by over 50%.

Astute is where I moved from practitioner to creative lead. I architected and developed the corporate website on WordPress, led a full CMS migration from Umbraco (including programmatic data extraction, database architecture management, and import controls), created brand identity and marketing collateral, collaborated on UI/UX for customer-facing software, and ultimately designed a complete company rebrand.

EDITED Brand System


Rebrand, Brand Strategy and Identity

Led the development and implementation of EDITED’s brand identity—a visual system built around the concept of elevated perspective and data intelligence. The system spans a custom wordmark and glyph, a structured primary/secondary/tertiary color palette, a dual-typeface system (Urbanist and Red Hat Display), gradient and texture frameworks, and a social media design system.

Every element was built with intentionality and documented rationale—from the logo glyph’s seven peaks to the color system’s separation of corporate and social contexts. The result is a brand architecture capable of governing identity at enterprise scale.

Emplifi Creative Workflow Process


Design Studio Management System

Building Emplifi’s brand was only half the job. The other half was building the operational system that would make the creative team function like an internal agency—at scale, with consistency, without the administrative overhead quietly eating into the team’s capacity.

We architected a five-stage end-to-end creative workflow: a Design Studio Portal for structured request intake, an auto-incrementing job numbering system with 25+ asset category codes, Asana-integrated sprint management, standardized Creative Cloud folder and file naming conventions, a job completion and packaging protocol, and a Google Drive archive system linked back through a live database.

The result: a 50%+ reduction in administrative and distribution costs, clearer accountability, and a creative team that could handle higher volume without adding headcount.

AI-Assisted Development, Interactive Application

AcousticDoodler started as a deliberate experiment: how far could I push Claude.ai as a development partner before I hit a wall that required writing code myself? The answer was all the way to a production-ready, publicly deployed interactive music education platform—without writing a single line of code.

My contribution to the build was a UI mockup, which I fed to Claude as the design guide. Everything that followed—architecture decisions, front-end implementation, interactivity, and deployment—was driven entirely through prompt-based development.

The project proved out something I now apply across my team: AI-assisted development is not a shortcut for developers. It is a legitimate production methodology that puts build capability in the hands of people who think in systems and design, not just those who write syntax.
